This handmade glass MORVEN whisky tumbler, Pattern No.4042, was designed by Domhnall O’ Broin, for Caithness, in the early 60’s in Wick. A now scarce iconic design. Made of cased glass, internally the bottom of the tumbler is an inverted dome made of what Caithness refer to as ‘peat’ coloured glass, & as it comes up the sides of the tumbler it graduates to clear glass. The base is flared so this together with the weight of the domed base it is a very stable tumbler. DIMENSIONS: 7.5cm (2 1516) in height. Top diameter is 7.2cm (2 ) the diameter of the base is 8cm (3 ). CONDITION: in excellent condition & appear to be unused.
