Looking to give your home that chic Mid-Century New York City look, but you want a multi-colored subway map? Well, now you can with our adaptation of a swanky New York Subway System Map from the 1940s. The original map was given out to customers by a long-defunct NYC-area bank. We have four sizes available: 16x24 20x30, 24x36, 30x45 The smaller two sizes work best as decor pieces where wall space is at a premium, while the larger sizes are intended to deliver a dramatic impact to a room’s look. The 24x36 size is that happy middle ground size. Please note: This is NOT a reprint of the puzzle box poster that the Library of Congress has in their archives. This reprint is based on an actual map that we have a copy of. We scanned our copy & then cleaned it up in Photoshop. This is why we can offer much larger sizes & color versions than other storefronts. You can choose from the multi-color version which hues closely to the original map, inverted blue, or inverted black. However, we strongly recommend measuring your intended wall first, due to the cost & amount of the ink involved we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for wrong size or wrong color chosen. (We do, however, offer refunds & exchanges for post office damage. Please see our shop policies for more details.) We aren’t able to offer framed/matted prints, but we recommend checking your local art/craft supply store and/or the following websites: www.craigframes.com, arttoframe.com, or framebridge.com. Craig Frames also has an Etsy storefront! Check them out. We print on Aurora Fine Art with archival inks. The paper has a nice, slight watercolor paper texture feel to it. Your print comes in a heavy-duty mailing tube via USPS priority mail, so you won’t have to wait long.
