Since 1927 she lived in Paris, where she was one of the founding members of the 1931 group Abstraction-Cration, which included artists like Arp, Gabo, Herbin, Kupka, Mondrian, Nicholson & Vantongerloo. Her works show the interpenetration & superimposition of simple, geometric color surfaces, the proportions of which reveal the preoccupation with Istvn Bethy. Since 1932 her compositions have been defined by the contrast of simple colors. It created flat color spaces that anticipated the ideas of Op Art. This piece was published by Galerie Werner Kunze in Berlin as a 10-year celebration of the gallery’s founding. This series includes graphic art (woodcuts, linocuts, & lithographs), most of them in an edition of 100 copies, made by artists represented by the gallery working in the constructivist style. Note on the illustration: I don’t do any edits to my images, but the color of the illustration may still differ from the original. This print will come professionally flat packed between several layers of cardboard. When opening, please cut carefully along the edges to separate the cardboard sheets. I do the best I can to run an environmentally friendly shop, therefore I minimise my use of plastic & use recycled packaging materials when possible.
