A stunning & impressive vintage sapphire & diamond cluster ring with mystery set sapphires (a style of setting first developed by French fine jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels) Designed with a 3x3 grid of fine vivid blue princess cut sapphires to the centre with 4 graduated princess cut sapphires to each side. Sapphires are approx. 2.50 total carat with top colour quality & excellent clarity. Fine quality sapphires. The sapphires are surrounded by a total of 62 natural VS grade, E/F colour round brilliant cut diamonds to total approx. 1.3 carats. 20mm spread of stones. 12.5mm wide band to front. The piece is extremely well made with top quality stones, setting & finish. A fine example of a French made mystery set piece & one we are reluctant to sell from our collection. in excellent condition, has been professionally polished & cleaned. Faint French Eagle hallmark on the outside of the band. Ring size K. A sizing band is fitted on the inside. Some resizing possible. The ring weighs 13.4g. A solid & quality piece.
